As I sit here typing this, I’ve just passed the 7 month mark of being on the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP).
Holy cow!
My initial thought when I started this back in May was that I would aim for the 2-3 month mark, hoping 1 single month would be all I need before I felt on top of the world again.
As you know, I’m in the midst of the Autoimmune Protocol (AIP). However, I have made the decision that living the AIP life over the festive season will not preclude me from all of its deliciousness. I’m all about self care - not deprivation!
So with this in mind, I have a little present for you all.
I’m sharing with you a free little book of my favourite Christmassy AIP sweet treats to help see you (and me) through the festive season.
Right at this moment in time, I’m in the “loving and healing my gut” mindset.
Basically, I’ve been following the AIP diet since the beginning of May this year, and even though I’ve definitely felt the positive benefits of it, I have also been dealing with a few set-backs due to gut inflammation. Why and how this is happening, I may never know, but I’m on a mission.
I recently discovered an AIP friendly recipe (and a beautiful blog) which had me running to the kitchen with a spring in my step and an inspired heart.
Since saying au revoir to gluten some time ago, oats became a thing of my past, and then of course since being on AIP, using rice flakes as an alternative has also come to an sad end.
But it's not the end of porridge. There is a new player in town?
Apart from my obvious obsession for all things French, I have a keen and ever increasing passion for all things gut related. Not quite in the same realm as each other, but any hoo…whatever floats your boat.
So today I'm sharing with you 6 simple, everyday tips that you can add into your day to day life to help improve you digestion and get it into a tip top working state......
To be more specific – I listened to the Melissa Ambrosini podcast with Nadine Artemis, author of Holistic Dental Care: The Complete Guide to Healthy Teeth and Gums.
Initially the topic didn’t do much for me. It didn’t “float my boat” so to speak, but after a minute or two.....I was hooked. Hooked so much so that I’ve now started my own little holisticat home dental care routine.....
I am an avid lover of Rice Malt Syrup as my sweetener of choice. Something that should come of no surprise if you’ve tried one of my recipes.
However, being on the Autoimmune Protocol, I’ve had do say au revoir to all grains – this includes rice malt syrup. This isn’t a bad thing though, as I get to say a big hello to honey. In particular raw organic honey.....
So as you know, I have been living withHashimoto’sand leaky gut for quite a number of years.
The journey hasn’t been easy (and it still isn’t), however I’m eternally grateful for the progress I have made so far, and for the unexpected change in direction my life has taken.
I thought I might take the time to share with you where I started, what I changed in my life and where I currently am......
