A velvety hollandaise . . .

If I was being completely indulgent (aka gluttonous) at breakfast time, my swoon worthy dish of choice would be eggs smothered in a velvety hollandaise sauce.

Hollandaise is not something I would normally spend the time making at home - when I want to be indulgent why would I allow my own arm to almost fall off when it could be someone else's?  However, this morning was different.  I was in the mood for an upper body work out.  So out came the whisk, eggs and the butter, and with a lovely breeze blowing through my back door, I beat the crap out of the lot of them!

Served with some grilled asparagus - a match made in heaven - I thoroughly enjoyed my efforts....working for your food seems to make it taste so much better, don't you think?
