I LOVE Melbourne at this time of year and it has nothing to do with the Grand Prix or Moomba.
It's Melbourne Food & Wine Festival time.
The best festival in the whole wide world!
I tend to roll from restaurant to restaurant during these two weeks, and this year has been no exception, with the standout for me personally being......
.....a Spanish High Tea at Southpaw, a little bar located in Gertrude Street, Fitzroy.
Pure indulgence from the Peruvian cocktails and jugs of Pimms to the ceviche and empanadas. And of course, no high tea would be complete without scones with homemade jam and fresh cream....which I might add they did superbly (no fake cream here!)
And if that wasn't enough, a grapefruit and buttermilk granita to finish it all off.
Ahh Melbourne - I do love thee!
