ESSENTIAL OIL ~ Lemon

Hello my friends,

I'm sharing one of my fav essential oil with you this month . . .

Lemon

Cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons.

1 drop is equivalent to the juice of 2 lemons.

Doesn’t erode teeth enamel like lemon’s do.

 How and Why to Use?

Clean Home | Being antiseptic and antifungal – simply add a few drops to water to disinfect your kitchen and bathroom (do not use on granite or stone)

Veggies | Add 1-2 drops to a bowl of water to wash away pesticides and toxins from fruit and veggies (if not buying organic)

Washing | Apply a drop or 2 to harsh laundry stains, or add a few drops in your wash to help brighten whites

Dishwasher | Add to dishwasher to help remove hard water spots

Cooking | Delicious addition to marinades, salad dressings and sweet treats (cheaper than buying the fruit!)

Skin | Can help reduce the appearance of blemishes - Add 1 drop to your evening moisturiser

Whatever brand of oil you do use - just make sure it is 100% pure, cold-pressed and therapeutic grade.

PRECAUTIONS

Care must always be taken before using any essential oils:

  • Pregnant women should always consult their health professional before using essential oils

  • Like most citrus essential oils, lemon oil is phototoxic and you should not expose your skin to direct sunlight

  • Always dilute it with a suitable carrier oil before applying to the skin

  • Even after dilution, do a patch test on a discrete area of skin to ensure that you do not have a reaction
