Healing Foods : Part 3

 

 

Get excited people as it’s now time for Part 3.

 

Yes, the third part of my little four part series that I’ve put together to help you (and me!) embrace all of those wonderful nutrient-dense foods that are in abundance and that help us heal. 

 

I’m sharing with you my 4 top highly nutritious food groups that you can add into your life, starting today.

As always, pay attention to how your dietary choices make you feel. Everyone is different, so it’s up to you to decide which type of diet and foods ultimately serve you best.

 

So today’s topic is …. da da da daaaaaa . . .

 

 

  1. Drink water.

  2. Pee.  

  3. Repeat 10 million times per day.

 

Even though we’re told by EVERYONE to drink lots of water to stay hydrated - did you know that drinking too much can actually cause our body to lose essential vitamins and minerals, as they end up getting flushed out?

 

However, being dehydrated can contribute to a loss of energy, headaches and general sluggishness.

 

What if I told you there is a more effective way to hydrate WITHOUT consuming more water than your body could ever absorb?

 

EAT our water! 

 

Our bodies are constantly regenerating and creating new cells, so it is super important that we eat and drink with a deliberate focus on hydration, and the best way to do this is to keep our body saturated with cell-building elements such as vitamin A, alpha lipoic acid, oleic acid, polyphenols, folic acid and vitamin C.   And yes, these nutrients can all be found in water-rich foods!

  • green capsicum/pepper

You see, the water that’s trapped in these fresh plant foods also contains a myriad of vitamins, minerals and fibres that help our body to absorb more water more slowly – meaning we’re more hydrated for longer periods of time.  This process also comes with a multitude of additional benefits from boosting our immune system, transporting oxygen, fat and glucose to our muscles as well as supporting our body to digest food and get rid of waste.
